Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
When does protesting go too far? It has gone too far when looting and rioting occurs. The death of Freddie Gray is being blamed for the fires, the looting, the rioting, and total disdain for what is right and lawful in the city of Baltimore, Maryland.
Looters taking what they do not deserve and hurting businesses that had absolutely nothing to do with any of it at all. Hatred of the police force and even death threats made against them. All of this makes me wonder, what is really behind it all. The Holy Bible declares that the devil has come to steal, kill, and destroy.
This world waxes worse and worse. The love of many has waxed cold. There is no love for fellow human beings during these times. All hatred of all things. It all shows me that the coming of the Lord is close at hand. Prepare yourself, trim your lamps, fill up with oil to keep them burning lest the Lord of lords will come at a time when He is least expected.
On August 9, 1996, I went to a church service at Trace Church of God. I can't remember what the preacher preached about, nor do I remember any songs that were sung. What I do remember was hearing the voice of the Lord calling me to repentance, and ultimately. . . to salvation. I remember it, as if it happened yesterday.
When the time came for the altar call, I didn't hear the Lord calling anyone out, except for me. I made up my mind at that time, to ask forgiveness for my sins. I tried to rise up from the pew, but was unable to do so. I grabbed the back of the pew before me and pulled myself up out of the seat.
When I stepped out into the aisle, it seemed as if it had become easier to walk towards the altar of prayer. When I knelt before the Lord to pray, there were many that gathered around me praying for me and with me. I could feel the weight of sin being lifted from my shoulders as I prayed and accepted Jesus as my Savior. I was set free at this time from the burdens that I had carried all of my life. I was 36 years old at that time.
Someone once asked me why I chose to be a Student of the Word. This is the reason for this article. It's hard to explain in simple terms typing through an IM or in a chatroom. It is something that must be read or heard in voice to get the full impact of what really happened. It isn't so much that I chose to be a student of the Word because I like to study, or because I merely wanted to belong to a group of people.
Mostly I was a loner. I didn't like being around people very much at all, with the exception of a few. I played music in bars helping people to get drunk and have fun. I saw many fights and even a shooting once at a bar the group was playing at. There is a saying, "Ignorance is bliss." When we played at these clubs, I thought I was happy. I thought I was having a good time. I didn't drink very much at all and mostly kept to myself during breaks.
Once the Lord saved me, I realized that there was no happiness in playing music for drunks. I realized that I didn't know what a good time was, until I played music for Him. What it comes down to is this. I didn't simply decide to become a student of the Word. The Word chose me. The Word was the One who called me to repent and be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. Without being called, I could not repent.
The way to salvation was made by God through the Word of God. There is no other way than through the name of Jesus Christ and the blood that he shed on the hill called Calvary.
If you are still reading this, I assume you have an interest in it. I tell you the truth, if you feel the drawing of the Holy Ghost in your soul, please repent now and be saved. Jesus knocks on the door to your heart, but will not open it from the outside. You must open it and allow Him to come in. Jesus is a gentleman and will not go where he is not invited.
Rom 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
As you can see, it is easy to understand what one must do to be saved. It wasn't written to where it needs deciphered as a code. It was written so that the Holy Ghost can reveal the truth to those whom He will. Accept Him today, if you feel the call of the Spirit. If not, feel free to email me and let me know that I should be praying for you. Those who email me asking for prayer will be prayed for. I will also have others praying for you.
Gen 6:14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
Gen 6:15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
Gen 6:16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
God gave Noah specific instructions on building the ark. The size is specific. Where the window goes is specific. The placement of the door is specific. God did not instruct Noah to build the ark around the animals. The ark was built around nothing. The window of the ark was placed in the top. I believe this was for a specific reason. It was placed there for the purpose of only being able to look up when the door was shut.
If Noah could have walked around looking out through the side of the ark he would have seen the destruction that was upon the earth and this surely would have caused him grief. The door was placed in the side so that any who wanted to could enter in with ease. There were three levels in the ark. Anyone who went into the ark no matter what level they were on they were still inside the ark. The mouse has to go through the exact same door as the elephant. It was the only way to get in the ark.
Gen 7:16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
The Lord shut the door Himself. Once the door is shut nobody else can enter the ark. Every man woman and child has had the chance to enter in but those that refused to enter are now going to be destroyed. God will always call out to those who are outside of the ark until the day he shuts the door.
Joh 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
Jesus says here that any who come into the fold by any way other than the right way is a thief and a robber. They are unclean in every way and will not receive the reward of righteousness. There is one way to God and one way only. There is no other way made for anyone to enter.
This world is full of deceiving spirits that lead people astray. So many beliefs that say all gods are the one true God. They say thats it doesn't matter what you believe in, you are going to make it into the kingdom of God. These are lies from the depths of hell. Satan is a liar and a murderer and will do anything to keep people from knowing the truth. He has absolutely no morals at all. He doesn't care who he deceives as long as he deceives someone. He doesn't care if it's young people, or old, he will do whatever he can to deceive.
Joh 10:2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
Jesus says here that those who enter through the door enter in the right way. They shall be receive the reward of righteousness. No man can keep them from receiving what God has in store for them.
Joh 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Joh 10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Jesus states the fact here that he is the door.
He also states that those who came before him saying they were the door are thieves and liars. They have deceived many into believing they had the right way. Jesus states again the he is the door and by Him and Him alone can man enter in. There is no other door to be found that one can enter into righteousness.
Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy. How does he kill? By causing people to believe he is the right way or that all ways are right. This kills people in the sense that they cannot receive eternal life. Jesus gives life to those who will accept Him and even gives more abundant life to believers in Him.
Going back to Noah and the ark now. There came a time when God shut the door. Once the door is shut no other men can enter in. The church is the ark and Jesus is the door to the ark. This is the only door. Any man who enters the ark must come by this same door. Once God shuts this door, there will be no more to enter in.
This day and time that we live in shows that the door is near to being shut. Once shut, it is too late. When God shuts the door it can never be opened again. It is time now to get inside the ark. Come in the same way that I and others have entered. You may think, I have plenty of time to enter, I'll wait and do it later. There is absolutely no promise of tomorrow for anyone. Anyone who watches the news or reads a newspaper sees how many are killed in auto accidents. They can see how many that are young that die from diseases. Heart attacks happening on young people these days. Gods Word says, men's hearts will fail them for fear.
2Co 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2Co 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
According to God's Word, now is the day of salvation. I would venture to say this is the most misquoted scripture in the Bible. Many times I have heard said, "Today is the day of salvation." Gods Word says, "NOW is the day of salvation." This means right now this very moment is the day of salvation. If you wait until later today you may not make it. You may let Satan talk you out of being saved or you may even be in an accident and not have time to repent. The time for decision is now.
It is my sincere hope in God's Word that someone will receive Him after reading this message. God said, "My Word will not return void." God's Word always accomplishes what it is set out to do. I urge you right now to repent and give your while heart to God through Jesus Christ. Lay down the old ways that have kept you in the dark and get into the light. Let the peace that surpasses all understanding flood your soul.
Prayer
Most gracious Father, Your Word is life unto all who receive it. We thank you for your Word and the life that you have given us. My heart goes out to the lost, for once I was lost also. I have been there Lord as you well know. Lord if you can save me you can save anyone, for you are no respecter of persons. I do not find myself to be something great Lord for I feel I am the worst of all your children. Let salvation come to those who read this word that you have given me Lord, in Jesus mighty name, AMEN!!
There is a song that is sung by a young man named Trevor Morgan. In the song are the lines, "The blessed and the broken the weak and the strong. Will all find rest at the throne of God." The first part of those lines is where the inspiration for this poem came from.
In our day to day lives, we don't realize how much is really going on around us. Things we cannot see are happening constantly as the battle between good and evil continues on. These battles will continue to rage on, even as we are caught unaware.
Jesus did the work that no man could do simple because he remained faithful to God and true to His calling. There is no doubt that he was blessed and broken at the same time. Though none of his bones were broken, his heart was shattered like a glass thrown against a boulder.
Even as he was broken, he knew he was blessed. The Bible says, "It pleased God to bruise him." Many take this to mean God is cruel and was happy simply because Jesus was bruised, but that is not the case. It pleased God because Jesus obeyed his calling and redeemed sinful men from their kidnapper. You see, Jesus was the ransom that was required to pay for the release of man from the bonds of sin.
The Blessed and the Broken
Shards of my heart are exhibited to be seen
My Father in heaven does not intervene
Though I am debased and saturated with pain
It is now the season of the latter rain
Come unto me and I will award you rest
Son of the Almighty you can have the best
Suffering is brief not to last forever
As I saunter along on my endeavor
I will do my work remain faithful and true
To save those who are lost and haven't a clue
Crucifixion awaits begs my arrival
When it is complete I defeat my rival
Blood cascades out onto the thirsty ground
When I give up the ghost I will wear my crown
I descend to the lower parts of the earth
To rescue from prison those of the second birth
I ascend to heaven to sit on my throne
Understand that you will never be alone
To come after me the Word has been spoken
Then you will be called the blessed and the broken.
Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
The
time of Salvation is now. The opportunity is before you and it may be
your last. I have no idea who this is actually for, but I write it for
whosoever will, let him come and drink of the water of life freely. It
costs you not one penny, but cost God everything. The debt is paid on
your behalf. Many of us would love it if someone paid off our car or
mortgage payment. Jesus paid so much more than that.
Joh 3:16 For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This poem was written fairly quickly. The first line came then the rest just fell into place. After the fourth stanza was done, the title came to me. I started thinking about a show that I used to watch called Wide World of Sports. The narrator would always say, "The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat."
I got to thinking about how athletes train. All the pain and injuries they have to suffer through. The time spent in their training nearly always from the age of about 4 or 5 years old. I also took a good long look at what Jesus went through before he was nailed to the cross. I know that even though there was victory in His death, there was agony before. This is how I got the title, "The Agony of Victory."
This poem is written in couplets which means the rhyming lines are in pairs. The first line end rhyme and the second line end rhyme are rhyming words. Likewise for the third line and fourth line and so forth.
The Agony of Victory
Heaviness sets in as I am overtaken
On unstable ground my soul is shaken
Searching for answers to queries past
I am wearied to the core and will not last
I need a hale hand to raise me up
Even as I dread I drink from my cup
To fulfill the will of Him that sent me
Deep inside my spirit I wail my plea
Is there another way to do this thing
Salvation to the world is what I can bring
Freely given to all souls who obtain
The gift of grace which is what they gain
Three times I asked looking for another way
Sweat fell as blood on the ground where I lay
My followers snooze their flesh is feeble
The spirit is willing ready and able
I am now prepared to take the route
And to give my all to those without
The walk I take is a lonely one
The path of salvation has just begun
I give my life to save the depraved
The widows the orphans and the enslaved
My cross awaits as I journey on
I must keep going or their hope is gone
I commend my spirit into Father's hands
Give up the ghost so you will understand
I died on the cross for you this day
I gave a price that you cannot pay
I redeemed you from sin and the bonds of Satan
All your crooked paths I will straighten
I do this for you so you can see
Salvation for all in the agony of victory.
Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
Mat 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
What does this mean to you? Let us take a minute and think about this. What can we bind on earth that can be bound in heaven? What can we loose on earth that can be loosed in heaven? Let's go to Revelations and see what we find there.
Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
There is a war going on in heaven at this time. Just as there is a war going on on earth. The angels of God fight the angels of the devil. When we fight a spiritual battle the battles rages on in heaven just as it does with us. When we fight the good fight Satan's angels are pushed back. When we fail to fight the good fight satans angels push back the angles of God. (Dan 10:12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. Dan 10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.) We see that Daniel prayed and fasted for twenty-one days but the Lord heard Daniel on the first day. Satan resisted Michael (one of the chief princes). There was a spiritual battle going on in heaven that caused Michael to be delayed to come to Daniel. Eventually in the end God will ultimately win the war.
Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Satan is cast out of heaven and will eventually be cast in the lake of fire (Mar 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Mar 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. ). All that are found not written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire. (Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. )
When we loose the light of truth on earth the light shines in heaven also. This is the spiritual battle we fight daily. That light will always overcome darkness. Darkness does not ever overcome light. The tiniest light in the darkest place will be seen from far away. Darkness always flees light.
When we loose discord on earth discord is also loosed in heaven. Satan and his angels push back Michael and his angels. This is where we need to work on always fighting the good fight of faith. There is really nothing we cannot do if we do it in faith in Jesus Christ and the Word of God. It is time to stop fighting against one another and start fighting our enemy that hates us. We need to fight against Satan and his powers of darkness that the light can cause the darkness to flee. Those that are not saved I urge you now to pray asking Jesus to forgive you for your sins and accept Him into your heart as your Savior. He truly does love you so much that He gave His life for you and for me.
Prayer
Father God in heaven, we thank you for your holy Word. Your Word is life to us Father and marrow to our bones. We know that the battle rages on and we must fight the good fight and stop fighting one another. We ask that you help us to realize all that we can do to fight this spiritual battle. We ask also Father that the lost that read this have conviction put upon their hearts that they might also know you. Glory to you and you alone Lord, In Jesus mighty name, AMEN!!!!!!!
Psa 119:3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
We are known by what we do and do not do. Our actions speak louder than words. The word iniquity means moral impurity and acts of mischief. Iniquity has no place in the life of one who believes in God. In fact, if we walk in His ways, iniquity will not be in us.
Prohibitions are generally considered to be negative. Thou shalt not, is considered a negative phrase. Can anything that is good for you actually be considered negative? If it is for the good of not only a few, but everyone, wouldn't it actually be positive? Seven of the Ten Commandments start with the phrase, "Thou shalt not." While many may consider it to be a negative phrase, those who believe in God and walk in His ways know it to be positive. It reinforces the believer. It gives guidance and understanding also to the believer.
The follower of God does not put others before God, lie, commit adultery, desire his neighbor's wife or husband, steal or murder. In the teachings of Jesus, there is a definite contrast of morals and ethics between the believer and the sinner.
Mishaps in Life
It is possible to be successful in life, and lose all success by acts of iniquity. Many have fallen because of their own iniquity and it is a waste of talent. God gives the talent and many will use it to gain riches only to lose it by their own immoral acts. They refuse to deal with their iniquity according to the Word of God.
Just because you are saved and walk in His ways doesn't mean you won't have slip-ups. I have had many of them myself. Some were pretty bad ones in fact. When this happens one must repent before God and allow God to forgive. Have you made some mistakes lately? Have you repented over them? If not, there is no better time than now.
His Commandments
Psa 119:4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
We are to keep His ways diligently. Diligently means completely and thoroughly with persistence. This goes back to hiding His Word in your heart. If His Word isn't in you, it is impossible to keep it. It is not an option for believers, we must do it. Many of us struggle with keeping His commandments because we are disobedient to them.
There are many scriptures which testify about the importance of being obedient to God and His Word. (1Sa 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. Luk 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. ) To obey is better than sacrifice. When we obey God, we are showing Him the ultimate respect. It is as good as it can be at those times when we are obedient and God honors us at these times. Obedience isn't a burden for those who truly love the Lord.
His Leadership and Love
Psa 119:5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
The writer is making a request of God in the above passage. He is requesting that God directs his path and remove all hindrances that would cause him to disobey the Lord. He realizes that man is not inclined to follow God and obey His commandments, even as Adam after eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was disobedient to God's command. We cannot in fact walk in obedience to God without His help.
We must obey God's commandments in spite of the difficulties we face. Some of God's commandments are hard to follow, but it is a must that we follow them. While we may not have the strength to follow them, God helps us and gives us strength when it is needed to keep walking in obedience to Him.
When Jesus came to earth His orders were clear and precise. He was to take on human form and live as men live with all the distractions and temptations that men have. He was then to die a death reserved for the most violent. His death was the death of murderers and thieves. It was part of the plan of God that this take place. (Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ) Men cannot get back to God on their own power. It took the ultimate sacrifice, not by man but by God Himself, to redeem men back to Him.
Closing Thoughts
Dear reader, God loves you so much that He is giving you the opportunity right now to come to Him. All must come to God by the Way that He made. I know that life is overwhelming at times because it still overwhelms me at times. God also knows what you are going through and is able to lift you up above it all. All it takes is to cry out to Jesus and believe that He is who He says He is. I use the present tense because Jesus lives on forever and ever. He will not, (nor cannot) die anymore.
If you are a believer and have found yourself slack in being obedient to God, there is no time like the present to repent and rededicate your life to Him. I received this Word not only for you, but for myself also. Many areas of my life need help and God is the only one who can help me. I pray that the Lord bless you abundantly more than you can contain that it spill over to others who are around you.
Have you ever loved someone so much that it hurt when you were not around them? Maybe you had a great relationship with someone and before you knew it, it was over. There is a love that is deeper than any depth and higher than any height. It is not the love of a man and a woman who are married. It is the love that God has for mankind that is an elevated love.
Paul wrote about the love of God in the eighth chapter in the book of Romans. He wrote that he was persuaded that neither death, life, angels, principalities, powers, things present, things to come, height, depth, nor any other creature is able to separate us from the love of God which is in Jesus our Lord and Savior.
The word love appears in the King James Version of the Bible 311 times in 281 verses of scripture. That's a lot of love. Many times in the Bible it is written that God will take care of those who love Him. The question now becomes, what does elevated love mean?
Elevated love is a love that transcends the love of men and women for one another. It is a love that gives constantly. It is a love that will sacrifice itself for the betterment of the one who is loved. It is the love of God that was in Jesus Christ. I know many men have fought and have given their lives for our freedom. Jesus is the only one who was perfect in every way. There was no sin in Him and really could not just be killed like we can be today. The Bible says, "The wages of sin is death." Death has no hold on those who are sinless.
Jesus could not die until He gave up the ghost. While on the cross he said, "Into your hands I commend my spirit." Then with a loud sigh, He gave up the ghost. This is elevated love. A love so strong and powerful that nothing could stop it. It will do what it is intended to do no matter what.
It is a love that comes by a relationship. You become one with God and He becomes a part of you and you a part of Him. This love is available to everyone. God has held nothing back and will extend this love to you.
Elevated Love
OUR LOVE ASCENDS HIGHER THAN THE EAGLE'S AERIE
ELEVATED SENSES AUGMENT OUR PASSION
FETTERED TOGETHER ONE WITH ANOTHER
FERVENT FLAMES GLOW AS SPARKS TURN ASHEN
INSPIRATION CONTINUALLY DESIRED
AS OUR SOULS TOUCH WE BECOME ONE ESSENCE
YOU A PART OF ME AND ME A PART OF YOU
MY HEART GLOWS DUE TO YOUR LUMINESCENCE
YOUR SPLENDOR IS TOO ELEGANT FOR ME
FIRE EMBODIED IN A CONFIGURATION
CONSTRUCTED BY THE ADMIRATION WE SHARE
NO PROPENSITY FOR ABERRATION
I know that people get tired of hearing this stuff. Keith Brumfield preached three services at Cornerstone Christian Center and every message preached was about hell. He would stop at times and say, somebody just went to hell.
I did a search on Google to find out how many people die each day around the world. What I found out is 151,600 people die each day. That comes to 55,334.000 (fifty-five million, three hundred thirty-four thousand each year that die around the world). My friends, that is a lot of people.
If we suppose that 2/3 of those who die do not believe in Jesus Christ, we come to a figure of 36,889,333 people who would split hell wide open, each year. That is a lot of people, more than there should be.
Have you ever thought about giving your life to the Lord? Ever wonder what hell might be like? Keith Brumfield flicked a bic lighter and challenged anyone who wanted to come and show how tough they were by putting their finger in the flame and holding it there. No one took him up on the challenge.
The Holy Bible states that hell is unmeasurable. How can man know how large it is? The Holy City of God has been measured, but the place of the damned has not nor can it be.
Won't you give your life to the Lord right now? He died so that you might have life. For those who believe the fire will consume whoever goes into hell, remember the bush that burned in Exodus. It burned but was not consumed. The heat was there but the bush remained intact.
The greatest prayer meeting ever is taking place in hell right now. Repentance is being sought but is not found. It is too late once you enter into that dreadful and awful place. There is time to repent right this minute. Do not put it off any longer. Jesus wants to save you but He will not wait on your forever.
Cornerstone of Hell
You know of me. . . I am the man
Whom you hate to see when you're asleep.
I come in dreams, I need not bring my clan
I'm the Cornerstone of Hell! where souls weep.
No one can escape from my mighty hand.
My grip is death to all here in my place.
This destiny is not what you planned.
When you come here you will see my face.
I'm the mightiest angel of all.
Smell the fire and all the brimstone.
I was worthy of heaven, standing tall
Stuck in this pit forever. . .not alone.
While I'm here I'll be very livid.
I'll torment and torture all the souls.
Your time here. . . will surely be horrid
Amid the sulfur and flaming coals.
My name is Satan! as you should know.
Fallen from heaven to lie, steal and kill
To destroy those who choose to follow
This angel of light. . . of their own freewill.
Weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth too
As my demons laugh at you and scorn.
You beg for mercy; with your mouth you chew,
On your flesh. . . wishing you were never born.
The prodigal son had taken all that was coming to him and left his father's house. After using up all his money fulfilling the lusts of the flesh and ending up broke in the swine pit, he came to himself and decided to go home to his father. He made a confession before his father stating that he had sinned.
When we come to God we must so likewise. We must confess our sins before Him. The Bible states that if we are faithful to confess our sins, God is faithful and just to for give them. Confession is something required on our part.
Sometimes we must just simply trust in the Lord to remove those things that hinder us. This is a cover song by the band I play bass guitar in. Kyle Prince is singing the lead. I hope you enjoy it.
Take God at His Word
“He hath said.” - Heb_13:5 Lately my Pastor says, "Why not take God at His Word?" during a sermon. I agree that we should always take God at His word. if God speaks it, I want to believe it.
Too many times in our lives we see that God has spoken but we refuse to believe it. We want things done our way. We shake our fist at God and go our own way. During times like this God will allow us to go our own way, just as the father allowed the prodigal son to leave. We use up what we had coming to us by living riotously and in sin. God will allow us to come back to Him once we come to our own selves first. Don't you think it is time to come back to God?
You have been away long enough now. Do not stay away any longer. Believe what God said because He is true. He does not let you down like men do. He is not a man that He should lie.

Broken
Recently something came upon me and I was unable to get away from it for three weeks. It wasn't something of impending doom or something great that is going to happen. I had a vision unlike any I had before. It is my prayer that you enjoy reading this and see what the Lord had shown me.
The Vision
A scripture that has been on my heart for a couple days. I saw people hurting and in agony in my heart. Psa 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
I want to help them. I want to hug them and hold them until the hurt goes away. I cannot reach them but can only see them. God is there for all who will call upon Him. His arms reach out to hold them, hug them and comfort them.
Psa 34:6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Psa 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Psa 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
You know, we are all poor. None of us deserve anything that God gives us. He gives to us freely by His Grace and Mercy. God is good and His mercy endures forever.
We are the most undeserving of all of God's creation and we are also the least grateful (talking of man in general).
Cry out to Jesus
Broken, the Poem
My heart is broken. . . I don't know why
Tears keep falling. . . from my eyes
Too much hurt and too much pain
Too much conviction, guilt and shame
I see a man . . . arms stretched wide
He gives up the ghost. . . does he have to die?
To pay for my sins. . . redeem me from hell
Is it all worth it. . . only time will tell
As I walk I fall. . . I get up to walk again
The Lord is with me. . . He is my helmsman
To guide and direct me to where I need to go
To keep from harm from my enemy and my foe
True life begins. . . when repentance comes
Now I am alive. . . singing the Lord's anthems
I run with patience the course set before me
To help those in need. . . I can't just let them be.
I went to two funerals in three days it seems like death is taking over. The second I went to the Lord showed me something. When a seed is planted, the outer part of it is dead and the shell must be removed before the life that is inside it can come through. When person who is in the grace of God dies, they don't die completely. Only the outer shell dies so the life that is inside can come through. The inside person will never die like the outside person.
I had a dream a few years ago. A lady in the community where I live, died. When I heard she died I asked around to make sure. I was told that she didn't die, she only changed address. That lady is pretty sick right now and will soon pass away from what I hear but she will only pass from this life to the next.
From the moment of conception, death stalks like a ravenous wolf. It wants to destroy and kill. Eventually, death will catch up to all of us. The Bible says it is appointed unto men once to die. This is an appointment that we can't get excused from. It will take place for all of us.
Death came calling in Egypt one night. God sent word that whoever had the blood of a first born lamb on their door posts and lintels, that death would pass over them. The first born of all in Egypt who didn't have the blood applied were visited by death. Death had caught up to them even some in their youth.
God gave the Pharaoh time to repent but Pharaoh refused. He failed to heed the warnings that were given to him. None of us know when death will come. We must be prepared to meet it because it can come at any time. Death does not care how old or young you are. It wants to devour and that is all it wants to do.
Death
This poem has three line stanzas with the first two lines of each stanza rhyming. The last line of each stanza rhyme with one another. I am not sure if this is a known form of poetry or not. This is just how it came out when I wrote it. I hope you enjoy it very much.
The final breath was taken
That day our world was shaken
Is this the end of all things?
The covering remained still
And there was an intense chill
What will the next moment bring?
Will this be the end of life?
Our suffering turned to strife?
Our day spent in great weeping
The shell spreads the soul departs
We feel a heat in our hearts
As if we hear angels sing
A flower blooms deep red hues
Fabricated to amuse
Like a fresh life in the spring
For those covered by the blood
Grace moves in like a flood
Death is now a beginning.
John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
