God Judges Sin

God judges those who refuse to repent.
Ezekiel 6:6. In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.
7. And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
God is the Creator, and the whole creation is responsive to God. By His rights as Creator He can do whatever He wills with all people and all things He has created. Good is not capricious (impulsive, irrational) in the use of His power, and He can do no evil, but He has the absolute right to rule as judge over His creatures, to reward righteousness and punish evil as He sees fit.
God, because He is God, has an absolute right to our ultimate devotion. God's hatred of idolatry (and all other sins) is in direct proportion to His love for us and His desire to have us be all we can be as His creatures. God hates idolatry because He alone is God, and only by having a relationship with Him can we, His human creatures, reach our full God-given potential.
When we say God is sovereign, we mean that by virtue of His being the only God, He rules over the whole creation with supreme power and authority to do whatever He wills to do. As the sovereign Lord of the whole creation, God is also the judge of all His creatures.
When people deny God is the creator, there is doubtlessly involved in this a deep seated desire to be free from the accountability to God. God is the creator, we are accountable to Him, and He has the right to tell us what is right and wrong and also to judge us for wrongdoing.
Why does the fact that God is the only God give Him the right to our devotion, and the right to judge us if we are not devoted to Him?
One hundred and thirty- five years passed between the fall of the northern kingdom of Israel to the Assyrians in 721 B.C. and the fall of Jerusalem in 586 B.C., the first Jews were deported to Babylon. Over the next 20 years, more Jews were deported to Babylon. The final day of God's judgment on ancient Israel was long in coming-so long in coming that many believe it would never come.
King Solomon wisely observed, "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." (Ecclesiastes 8:11). Because God is long suffering toward sinners, not desiring that any should perish in sin, it becomes easy for many to think a day of reckoning will never come. Slowly but surely it became evident to the Jews of the captivity that the day of reckoning had arrived for them, and God was repaying them for their centuries of idolatry.
According to Scripture there will be a final Day of Judgment at the end of the age. (Revelation 20:11. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.) However, we need to be mindful that the days of judgment come continually to nations and individuals, whenever and wherever God puts an end to evil.
A Final Thought
We live in a time when many give no serious thought to the fact God will judge sin. Others think God is "too good" to judge sin.

Trust

Psa 40:4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust
Do you trust in the Lord? Trust is a big issue with people. Trust is not given overnight. It takes time to build trust in someone. Our friends and family will fail us many times in our lives, but God has never failed man, when we trust in Him.
Trust is mentioned several times in the Bible. One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Our understanding is not even close to what god actually knows. We also know that His thoughts are so much higher than our thoughts.
When a situation seems impossible to reconcile, God is able to make things right. There is nothing to small nor too large for Him to handle. Let's purpose it in our hearts to trust in Him and stop allowing small things to get us down. Our problems are merely opportunities for God to show His power and might.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 2Sa_22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
2Sa_22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
Trust in Him now, while time is still here. Seek His face while He may be found. In all our iniquities and transgressions, His arms are stretched out still.

Get Onboard

You got your passport, bought the plane ticket, packed your bags and now you stand in the airport. You do not board the plane because of fear.
So many are afraid to get on board even after getting everything together to make it to their destination. The fear of the unknown holds them back.
I am here to let you know, God thoughts are always good toward you. (Jeremiah 11:29) You will never know what He has in store for you if you do not board the plane.
Go ahead, get on the plane. You ticket has been paid for, passport is free and it will be the flight of a lifetime.

Word of God

Heaven and earth will pass away but my Word will always stand. (paraphrased)
The Word of God is better than diamonds and precious stones. it is what gives us life and keep us alive. God has offered many benefits to those who come to Him with faith, through Jesus. Let us love His Word by studying daily and believing everything He says.

Eternal Life

“And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish.”
- Joh_10:28
What does eternal life mean to you? God is eternal meaning time has no effect upon Him at all. These fleshly bodies are temporal and will wither and die one day. This spiritual body is eternal and was always meant to be eternal. God created man in His image and likeness.
Just think about what Jesus has promised to those who believe in Him. our minds cannot comprehend eternity because we are fleshly and carnal in our thinking. When it is revealed unto us., then we can see eternity for what it truly is. Let's keep our hearts open to the Word and our minds clear of the clutter that is so easily picked up these days. If we do this, we shall never perish, though we may die, yet shall we live forever and ever.

Broken Heart

You know, a broken heart is a hurting heart. It is not fun to have your heart broken. The pain seems to be unbearable at times but I assure you, you will make it through OK.
An unbroken heart is sealed and cannot have anything taken out. Envy, strife, jealousy, hate, malice etc. . . will stay inside the heart that is not broken.
Likewise, a heart that is not broken cannot have anything put inside it. Love of God needs to be put inside your heart. This is why we must come to Him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit.
If you are out there with a broken heart and feeling that all your friends have left you, be of good cheer. God has not left you and will never leave you.

What are God's Thoughts Toward you?

Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Why are we so afraid of what God has in store for us? We seem to think God wants to destroy us at times when we mess up but that is far from fact. God has declared His thoughts toward us in that he wants to give us peace.
God also states there is an expected end for us. The Bible declares that Jesus will come back with a shout and the trump of the Archangel to call His children home to the place He went to prepare.
How about we stop being so fearful of what God is doing in our lives? Let's start living up to our full potential in Christ. Jesus' disciples were able to heal all manner of sickness and disease while casting out devils. What they could do, we should be able to do also. Purpose it in your heart to draw closer to God and allow Him to use you for His thoughts are always good toward you.
