Been reading a little about abortions and many stances on the subject. Much of the time the term zygote is used, then the words fetus and embryo. Some say that life begins only when the baby outside the womb while other say it becomes a human at some point and tine in gestation.
On the website, CARM, a scenario is given. A man is in an accident, loses both arms and legs, is he still a human, even though he does not resemble one, as we know it. Suppose he goes into a coma and knows nothing, feels nothing, sees nothing and hears nothing. Is he still a human being despite all of that? he is unable to do anything for himself so he is unable to survive without outside help, is he still a human being?
At what point and time does a fertilized egg inside the womb of a woman become a human being? Civil discussion is encouraged. Your thoughts are welcome.
