How Does Satan (the devil) Tempt Us?

Satan knows what it takes to cause us to ponder committing a sin or doing something we aren't supposed to do. He uses the pride of the flesh to cause us to sin or tempt us to sin. This is how he deceived Eve in the garden of Eden and he uses the same method to tempt us today.
He knows where we are weak and what causes us problems in our walks with the Lord. Once it is said and done, pride is the reason we reach out for what we are tempted with.
Satan will use those who are closest to us to tempt us. He will use your wife, husband, children, mother or father to tempt you. One thing Satan cannot do is to make us do something wrong. You can give him a gun but he cannot use it. He can get someone else to use it but cannot use it himself.
Satan will use your old friends to tempt you. Those you used to run around with drinking and doing many other things that you shouldn't do. They will try to pull you back into the old life that you left behind when you accepted Jesus into your heart.
Satan will also use some that you go to church with to tempt you. I know it's hard to fathom for many of you but it's true. Many are weak and don't know any better. Some are strong and just don't care. One thing I believe should be stressed about this topic. No matter what temptation comes up before you, you have the power to resist it.

Unclean spirits

Unclean spirits are always contrary to God. The flesh of man could possibly be called an unclean spirit. That isn't what this hub is about though. It is about the evil and wicked spirits of the world that do indeed manipulate men and women into doing things that are evil and wicked. Rapes and murders everywhere all around the world. Unclean spirits are what cause these. Nobody can say there aren't unclean spirits in the world.
What is the most dangerous spirit? My opinion is the one that will tell almost the whole truth, but tell enough of a lie to draw someone off the right track. It might tell 95% truth and 5% lie. It will seem to be right, but not right. It's a simple concept to understand. Unclean spirits have many different voices. They pretend to be God, but yet fall short. They want to be revered as God and are by many different people.
My question now is, do you worship an unclean spirit?

Why Satan Torments People

Knowing that many people believe that Satan isn't a real being causes me to look at what the Word of God says about him. He is evil and wicked and nothing good can come from him. He is a liar and a thief and goes about seeking to steal, kill, and destroy. Why would Satan do these things? What are his motives? I will do my best to answer these questions in this article.
Satan was originally created by God and had a seat in Heaven. He was the most beautiful of all of God's angels. I can imagine how he looked at himself. Pride rose up in Satan and he said in his heart that he would put his throne above the throne of God. This shows that he had contempt for God. He hated God with a passion.
Satan's pride was what caused him to be cast down to the earth. There is no place in heaven for sin to dwell.
When God created man, He created him in His own image and likeness. We are all like God in image and likeness. Satan knows he can't hurt God. God already had him cast out of heaven and Satan wants nothing more to do with God directly. So what does he do to get back at God?
He torments those who God loves and are similar God in image and likeness. He will do everything in his power to cause us to sin and will cause us to be separated from God by the same sins. He can't force us to sin but can only put the thought, concept, or temptation before us.
He will continue to do this until he is cast into the lake of fire. I hope this explains it well enough to make it easy to understand.

The Prison of Sin

I watched the movie, God's Not Dead and remember what one old lady with Alzheimer's said to her son (paraphrased). Sin is like a jail cell, except it is comfortable with the door wide open. You don't see any reason to leave. Then one day, the door slams shut and you are stuck with no way out. When death comes, the door is shut. The Holy Bible declares, Now is the day of salvation. The door is open right now, get up and leave through that door before it slams shut.
